Estepona´s New Golden Mile

The New Golden Mile is the strip between the eastern outskirts of Estepona and San Pedro Alcantara. In recent years, it has become a highly demanded area thanks to its unbeatable climate, magnificent beaches, tranquillity and the quality of life enjoyed here by both residents and tourists.

Areas in The New Golden Mile

Setting the border with Guadalmina, Casasola is one of the most exclusive residential complexes in New Golden Mile. This is due to its proximity to Puerto Banus and Marbella. Many of the livings for sale in Casasola enjoy magnificent views of the sea and others are directly on the beachfront. A perfect location for golf and sea lovers, with the Guadalmina Golf Club only about 3 kilometres away.

In the heart of this area, Benamara is nestled. It is an attractive quiet residential district on the beachfront and very well connected to the main A-7 road. On its surroundings, Benavista, El Pilar and Diana shopping centres offer all kind of services. Additionally, we find elegant restaurants and hotels with spas as Marriot´s Playa Andaluza o Senator Banús Spa Hotel. The most common type of housing in Benamara are Mediterranean-village style apartments in low-rise buildings. However, we can also find medium-sized townhouses and villas.

Paraíso Barronal houses a set of coastal villas, townhouses and apartments in a quiet and safe environment. This is something difficult to find in more crowded urbanisations facing the sea. Between its constructions, both classic and contemporary designs are combined.

To the North, Paraiso Medio and Paraiso Alto are two distinguished sub-areas that surround El Paraiso Golf Club. We can find in Paraiso Alto impressive villas on elevated plots, offering panoramic views of the sea, the mountains and the golf course. It is surrounded by hills and borders the municipality of Benahavis.

Paraíso Medio is south of Paraiso Alto, more accessible to El Paraiso Golf Club and close to shopping centres with all amenities. It consists of fantastic complexes of apartments and townhouses, many of them with privileged sea views.

These three districts make up El Paraiso, a zone that has been achieving popularity day by day among selected international tourists. Here we can see a selection of villas in El Paraiso for short-term rental that are ideal for enjoying an unforgettable vacation on La Costa del Sol.

Bordering El Paraiso, El Campanario is established, a very attractive complex with its own golf course. It is located just a few minutes from all services of San Pedro, Benahavis and Estepona, and about 5 minutes from the beach.

Costalita is situated between the heart of Estepona and the centre of San Pedro Alcantara. It is a gated community with swimming pools and tropical gardens. It is set on Saladillo Beach and houses Iberostar Costa del Sol Hotel.

In Guadalmansa Beach, we notice the frontline beach urbanisation Cabo Bermejo. It offers 24-hour security and wonderful gardens, with waterfalls and ponds. Its services include everything from a gym to a private area for residents on the beach. The apartments have semi-covered terraces and spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. Next to it, we cross the magnificent Las Dunas Hotel to reach the beautiful sea-facing townhouses of urbanisation El Pirata.

Across the highway, La Resina is a booming area with numerous contemporary villas, many of them under construction and close to La Resina Golf & Country Club.

Los Granados Playa and Menara Beach stand out the Western coastal end of the New Golden Mile. They are two sea-facing high-standing complexes only a few minutes from the centre of Estepona. They communicate directly with the Senda Litoral in the province of Malaga. This project will link Manilva and Nerja through the coast, covering about 180 kilometres of pedestrian path.

Los Granados del Mar and Alcazaba Beach are two urbanisations facing the sea, set just a walk from Estepona´s old town. They are surrounded by great restaurants, supermarkets and all amenities. A five-minute drive away is the Equestrian Art School of The Costa del Sol, one of the most notable equestrian centres in Spain.

Estepona´s New Golden Mile has been experiencing a huge development, especially in the last two decades. Thanks to this fact, its wide gastronomic offer and its enviable climate with more than 325 days of sunshine per year, it has become an ideal place to acquire a property, both with a view to permanent residence, a vacation home, investment or speculation.
